About Me
My Journey to Psychotherapy
I come from a professional background in youth advocacy work, where I had the privilege to support young people and their families going through challenging times. I worked closely with young people who were at risk of entering care, and helped them navigate family and school issues, supporting them achieve improved family dynamics and reconnect with their happier, more resilient selves.
Becoming a therapist wasn't just a career choice for me - it was a deeply personal journey shaped by my own experiences. I know firsthand how isolating it can feel to be caught in a never-ending cycle of thoughts and overwhelming emotions, and how difficult it can feel to take that first step in reaching out for support. This journey taught me that true healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and understood by someone who is truly here to hear us. It's why I'm so passionate about creating a space where you feel safe to be your authentic self.
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist who blends a variety of therapeutic methods, always guided by a humanistic and client-centered approach. In the therapeutic space, I will meet you where you are on your journey - without judgment, with empathy, and at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can navigate the challenges you're facing - whether they're rooted in the past or unfolding in your life right now.
I have extensive experience helping clients work through a range of concerns, some of which included eating disorders, low self-esteem, self-harm, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and relationship issues. I understand the unique pain of dealing with depression, anxiety, intrusive and obsessive thoughts, and compulsive behaviours.
As a psychotherapist, I worked closely with doctors, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure my clients received the comprehensive care they deserve.
I have a special focus on emotional dysregulation and eating disorders, with advanced training from the HSE and Bodywhys. My mission is to offer you a safe space where healing isn't rushed but nurtured, and where your well-being is always the priority.
I work with adults and adolescents and am registered with IACP, bringing a deep commitment to your journey toward healing and growth.
